Bungalow 8 is located on Sydney's newest waterfront property, the King Street Wharf. Bungalow 8 presents as a seafood bistro during the day and morphs into a leading bar venue by night, on an absolute waterfront location combining outside and inside dining and relaxing. Cutting edge Australian architect, Dale Jones-Evans, has created a unique and decorative space inside the venue. Set off by hanging lamps of paper and reed, a ceiling of split, black-lacquered bamboo is illuminated by a backlit bar and yellow-toned light. Extending out across the wharf, where rippling water echoes the undulations of the bamboo, the outdoor section provides shade from the daytime sun and views of the night sky and harbour by night. Bungalow 8 was named by Australian Liquor Industry �Bar of the Year 2004� and is consistently one of Sydney�s top bar and dining venues every week and every weekend of every year.
