We know that a lot of our Munky users have a lot to say about nightlife issues, which is why we’ve started this dedicated discussion area just for you guys. We’ll be starting the conversations in our newsletters, but we want to hear your voice. Something irking you about going out in Sydney or Melbourne? Log-on and have your voice heard by people just like you. It’s much better than being on SRC, right?
Here’s a starting course, to whet your appetite: Clubs have certain capacity restrictions for a reason, so keeping a whole lot of desperadoes waiting for the inevitable dismissive wave could easily count as cruel and unusual punishment. More importantly, there’s that lovely line ‘Do you have any girls with you?’ whereby males are reduced to mere entrees for a legion of women who won’t pay entry and won’t buy any drinks. I don't stand in f#@%ing queues! |

You've got to love those long lines. Especially when you can sit and watch the guys argue at the back about whether to stay or go somewhere else.. |

What angers me is that its nearly impossible to request songs in nightclubs. i mean l know DJ's are amazing and we wouldn't want to hurt there GIANT ego but if your hanging to hear that one fav song you and your mates like and it NEVER happens, its just such a let down! |

DJ's get 20-50 song requests a per club, if they play an hour set and one venue and then play somewhere else an hour later it gets really annoying always playing song requests. |

| 1 posts | If DJ's played song requests, we may as well put on the radio in clubs. |

But if it's what the crowd want to hear, isn't that part of the 'art' of playing live?
Ok, fair enough, it sucks if you're a DJ and you're playing the same songs set after set, but the crowd wouldnt know that on the night, because it's a different venue. |

As a DJ the last thing you want to hear is all the maggot girls leaning over the barracades to tell you they "need to hear" this song, or that song. Unless it's an awesome tune and the DJ wants to pump it, they won't do it as they only have limited set time to play.
I have to say THE GAFF Ultimate NRG release on Saturday was AMAZING & there you don't feel the need to request songs, as Alex K knows what it's all about =) Also Candy's was playing a banging set. He's right..Turn on the radio if you wan2 request songs, or download the track and pump it in your car, instead of bugging DJ's. |
