Summer is fast approaching. Following the positive response to our parties last Summer - Bondi Sounds at Cream Tangerine and 'Kaskade - The Dynasty Tour' at the Greenwood, we made an executive decision at Fake HQ to deliver more of these event style parties. And when we said MORE, we meant; "let's go bigger, let's go better and let's do a shit load MORE of them." So, we have been busily preparing a smorgessboard of festivities for the loyal Fake following, and we can finally let loose with some fun facts and some clues for things we can't quite announce. So without further adue - get your calendars out and mark down the following;
October 2nd 2011 - The Official Parklife Afterparty @ FakeClub Yep... It's the one and only Sydney Parklife Afterparty. Our lips are tightly sealed, but trust us when we say it will not disappoint. And yes, technically this is an event at Fake Club so might not belong in our Summer Series of parties, but we are so excited about it we thought we would plaster it everywhere - in case you were in any doubt as to where the party was at after Parklife - Fake Club of course! Stay tuned for announcements on Sep 17, 24 and Oct 1st. December 17 2011 - Bondi Sounds @ Cream Tangerine Last years boxing day party was an absolute dozeyyy. Sunnies and shorts were the order of the day as Ajax threw down some afternoon wizadry behind the decks. So, whilst we ummed and aghhed about when and where our 'Bondi Sounds,' one thing was for sure - whereever and whenever it happened, we had to go bigger and we had to blow you away - delivering a lineup worthy of the Summer royalty the brand embodies. So we went out and sought 2 massively talented and popular acts whose sound will suit perfectly for a party overlooking Bondi Beach - Kissy Sell Out and Round Table Knights. Kissy is a king of UK electro scene and man who certainly needs no introduction to Austrlian audiences, having sold out parties here for a couple of years now. Most recently, Kissy has done his very own album - 'Wild Romance' all whilst busying himself hosting his very own radio show on BBC Radio 1, the same station that Pete Tong throws down his weekly show. Very few acts create as much hype as Round Table Knights. When whispers circulated that they would be playing at a Fake Club party this Summer, we got bombarded at Fake HQ by people demanding to know when, where, what, who, how etc etc. This act from Switzerland are quickly rising to be become giants of 'house' music, having done an album earlier this year 'Say What' which is diverse and brilliant. January 6 2012 - Area 51 @ Home Nightclub If stage diving to electro mayhem is your thing, then undoubtedly, the Area 51 brand is for you. The first Area 51 took place in May, earlier this year. G-Tronic + Cyberpunkers headlined a massive 'get up and rave' party, causing absolute anarchy in the mainroom of Home Nightclub. So for our Area 51 in January, we needed to go big to welcome the new year. It's Fake's very first special event of 2012, and we promise this one will not disappoint. We can't announce our headliner just yet, all we can say is he is .... Well ... BIG. Everyone loves his tunes and we dare say there are a few girls that love his looks as well - ROCKSTAR. There will be a big supporting cast of internationals also along for this rather chaotic ride. Stay tuned for announcements as we get closer to the show. : ) NO HUMANS ALLOWED January 8 2012 - Sounds Of Summer @ The Beachcomber Hotel Toukley After Kaskade earlier this year at the Greenwood, we decided it was essential to have a brand showcasing our big day events. It was important that people recognise and connect one party we throw with the next. This is how 'Sounds Of Summer' was born. Our inaugural 'Sounds Of Summer' is in January 2012 at The Beachcomber Hotel in Toukley on NSW's Central Coast. What a fantastic venue. Massive and right on a lake, this setting is perfect for a day of partying in Summer. The lake will give the backdrop for the main stage, and is conveniently located near a swimming pool. The pool will be open to partygoers, with full tray service available whilst you lay back and listen to the tunes coming from the main stage. And, if you can cast your mind back to Kaskade, our production was above and beyond, which is exactly the guidelines for the production at all 'Sounds Of Summer' parties. There are 3 other arenas we are opening up for the first party. So all this information is great - but i guess the real question on everyone's lips is 'Who is playing?' Well, right now we can't give too much away only to say we have a HUGE headliner booked for this party, who will blow everyone's socks off when announced. In fact, fair to say the Central Coast will be in hysterics. Supporting will be a cast of 5 big international artists as well as local Fake Club favs Ajax + Fake Bratpack. Sydney heroes Timmy Trumpet and Tenzin are in also. (+ a heap more TBA later) January 28 2012 - Sounds Of Summer @ The Greenwood Hotel // January 29 2012 - Sounds Of Summer 2012 @ The Beachcomber Hotel Toukley Late January is a busy time for Fake Club. We are running 2 parties over 2 days with the same lineup. First up, our return to The Greenwood Hotel. We have harped on this already in this feature - and no doubt you have heard us rant on at some point about how fucking ridiculously good our production of 'Kaskade - The Dynasty Tour' was. So maybe I won't say any more.... I'll let the video do the talking; Ok, so hopefully now we have your attention. Just over 1 year on we are adding the finishing touches to Greenwood ver 2.0. Whilst technically January 2012 marks the launch of 'Sounds Of Summer,' the brand was really born at 'Kaskade - The Dynasty Tour' earlier this year. With so many people describing 'Kaskade' as the party of the year, we are planning on picking up exactly where we left off. Bigger production and dare we say it... an even bigger lineup. Yep, Kaskade is a hard act to follow, but for this one we have 4 BIGGGG internationals. As soon as we are done and dusted we pack up the circus and journey up to Central Coast to do it all again the next day. This is just the beginning of the end.
