Let’s face it. Facebook is here to stay,
so if we’re going to be on it, we might as well learn some interesting tricks to do while we’re there. Do you have some people on your Facebook list you would prefer not to see your Facebook statuses (like parents, bosses, coworkers, ex-boy/girlfriends)? It’s simple enough to change. Click on the little padlock looking button under the “What’s on your mind” box (you have to be typing a status to see it), and go down to customize. From there, you can choose if you want your status to be hidden from certain people or groups! You see other people when they update their status can “tag,” or link, directly to their friends profiles. It’s easy to do. If you’re talking about one of your friends in your status, instead of just typing their name, add the at symbol (“@”) before you start typing their name and a list will come up of who to select. It also works with pages you “liked,” events, and companies. Want to add symbols to your status? To make a “♥” all you have to do is type < then the number 3 (<+3=♥), but there are so many different things you can use. Here’s just an example of some of the symbols: ☺ ☻ ☼ ♀ ♂ ♠ ♣ ♥ ♦ ♪ ♫ ◙ ◘ □ To insert any of these, you have to go to your character map on your computer first (Click Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Character Map). From there, just go around and double-click whatever you want to put in, and then click the “Copy” button. Go back to your Facebook and hit Cntl+V (or right-click and select “Paste”)! Speaking of having fun things in your status, ɟı ǝʌ,noʎ ɹǝʌǝ pǝʇuɐʍ oʇ ǝʇıɹʍ ɐ snʇɐʇs uʍop-ǝpısdn ɹoɟ ʎuɐ uosɐǝɹ, just go to www.upsidedowntext.com and they’ll do it for you. This link will redirect anyone that’s logged into Facebook back to their own page: www.facebook.com/profile.php?=73322363 Install an app called Status Statistics and see what your most common word is, how long your average status is, how many statuses you’ve had. Check it out, it’s interesting. If you want to schedule status updates for updating at a later time, you can install the “Later Bro” app on Facebook and it’ll do exactly that.
