Andy Van has been one of Australia's leading DJs for well over 15 years and has spun at many of Australia's biggest clubs & events including Summadayze, Gatecrasher, Stereosonic, One Love, Kink, Family, HQ and Home. He has also spun out to hundreds of thousands more across the globe - including performances at Love Parade (UK), Creamfields, Manumission, Space, Bora Bora, (Ibiza), Ministry UK, as well as gigs in Russia, Miami, Korea, Japan, Sweden, Greece & Holland alongside the world's leading DJs including Pete Tong, Eric Moriilo, Roger Sanchez, Armand Van Helden, Fatboy Slim, Angello & Ingrosso, Sasha & John Digweed.

On radio he's trounced transmissions via Britain's Radio 1 (alongside Danny Rampling), Australia's Austereo Network (Loaded) and Melbourne's agenda-setting Kiss FM. When not wreaking turntable havoc, Van's swung a bat through the record industry with his internationally-renown Vicious Dance Label, home to artists such as Dirty South, The Potbelleez, AVICII, Angger Dimas, Cabin Crew, mrTimothy, Mind Electric, Mic Newman and many more. And in between all of this, he's also achieved massive success with his producers hat on.. including 2 million plus sales of Singles & Albums and #1 UK & Australia chart placements as one-half of household invaders Madison Avenue, with their Hits 'Don't Call Me Baby' & 'Who The Hell Are You'. And his remix of Tom Novy's 'Your Body' was massive Dance & Pop hit around the world. He's also delivered a constant flow of mix CDs (including three MOS Annuals) achieving sales well over half a million copies.

Easy....crazy arsed, main room, hands in the Air, Electro, Bleepy nonsense

Everyone from Michael Jackson to David Bowie to Lady Gaga to NERD to Bloody Beetroots

Favourite club to do a set and why?

We've done some awesome gigs @ Club Answer (Korea), Paradise Club (Myknonos) was off that Dial, and closer to home we love HQ (Adel) & King Street Hotel (Newcastle). All of them had the same great elements : Rockin rooms full of pumped up clubbers !

Favourite gig you've played to date?

Again, hard to narrow it down to one....we had a great time at Stereosonic, had 2 amazing Festivals in New Zealand last year, and more recently a killer event "The Fuzzy Festival (In LA) to 4000+ people 3 weeks ago.

We plan to break into your car - what can we expect to find in your CD player?

Nothing, it's all about the iPod Touch in the Glove Box....16gig of everything from Club choons to Lazy Jazz.

Never stop drinking

Is getting laid a big part of being a DJ?

Depends if your married or single...i'm lucky, i tour with my wife (Cassie from Vandalism).....so always a lot of fun

One record you're embarrassed to admit you own?

"Disco Duck" by Rick Dees ....it's about a Duck that likes disco !!!

The weirdest thing a fan has ever done?

Asked me to hear her sing, then walked off & climbed a tree !!

One thing you're willing to confess to your fellow Munkys?

We Love Disco Music....and even 80s Rock !
