This week, The Munky Crew caught up with Sydney's own: John Glover.
'John Glover' is a name that has become a household brand in the Sydney and Australian Dance and Electronic music scene.
Endorsing the buoyant and assertive bass lines, commandive percussion and hook laden vocals of Main Room House and incorporating a musical menu more diverse then a season of Channel Ten's Masterchef, it is not uncommon for Glover to serve to his audiences a banquet of tech, electro, pop and fidget all with a solid salute to his Big Room and Deep House Roots.
Over the past seven years John has established a trust with promoters, venues and festivals that has seen him as a resident at previous Sydney institutions Kink, Famous, Sounds On Sunday and Onelove. Appearances at Parklife 2005 & 2006, Future Music Festival 2008 & 2009, Global Gathering 2009, Summerfieldayze 2008, Playground Weekender 2008 & 2009 and Stereosonic 2009. Features Australia wide and in New Zealand and current Sydney residencies at Soho, Moulin Rouge, The Eastern, The Roxy and Cream Tangerine Bondi.
Amongst many other high profile supports, Glover's experience and reputation has seen him as a confederate for international names including Bob Sinclar, Cassius, Sidney Samson, Axwell, John Dahlback, The Crookers, The Bloody Beetroots, Felix Da Housecat, Erick Morillo, Kaskade, Steve Angello, Tocadisco and Boyz Noize.
With the New Year approaching, 2010 will see John continue to progress into original music production following his success with production partner Dave Implex for the remix of Nick Galea's "Little Things" making it into the Aria Club Chart Top 10.

Derrick Carter, Daft Punk, Les Rythmes Digitales, A Trak, Laidback Luke, Timbaland & The Neptunes.

Favourite club to do a set and why?

Soho on a Saturday night. The crowd, the vibe and my bar tab!

Favourite gig you've played to date?

Warming up for Tocadisco @ Famous last year. One of the coolest crowd I've had the pleasure to play to.

We plan to break into your car - what can we expect to find in your CD player?

Miike Snow, Friendly Fires, a Laidback Luke set or two & Kid Sisters new album.

Your fool proof hangover cure?

Toasted bananna bread with lots of butter, a strong cappuccino & some Family Guy.

Is getting laid a big part of being a DJ?

Isn't it a big part of everything!

Justin Timberlake's - Futuresexlovesounds

The weirdest thing a fan has ever done?

They made me a bracket consisting of letters spelling out my full name!
